Simulation provides the Nursing students with a hands-on experience on dealing with patients, their peers, and other medical professionals. It is important that students are exposed to simulation of the actual setting of a medical facility to ensure their safety and proper performance of procedures before their actual exposure as part of their Related Learning Experience (RLE). From one laboratory room with special areas, the Riverside Nursing Simulation Center is a complex occupying one side of the entire 6th floor of the Hortencia Building. The RN-SIM Center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities with an amphitheater for lecture and demonstration discussions. It has an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a Control Room for the ICU, a Scrub Area, an Operating Room, a Delivery Room, a Private Room, a Medication Room, 4 Ward Rooms, a Central Supply Room, a Holding Room for the students, and a Mega Station for Nurses. The RN-SIM Center had its blessing and inauguration last March 23, 2024.
