Admission Requirements

A student of any nationality, race, color, creed or religious belief is welcome to Riverside College.  The school administration, however, reserves the right at any time to refuse admission or readmission of students under certain conditions or by reason of their moral character, academic standing or both.

An applicant who meets the requirements of the program and the result of the evaluation of the Admissions Committee is admitted to Riverside College.

For Entering Freshman

A new student is considered an incoming freshman if he is a high school graduate who is entering the college after accomplishing the following steps:

  • Has secured and filled-out the application for admission from the Admission Office.
  • Has been interviewed by the Admission Officer.
  • Has passed the Entrance Examination
  • Has validated the entrance examination result.

Transferee

A new student is categorized as a transferee if he has earned college-level credits from another college or university and is transferring to Riverside College with his earned credentials, and after accomplishing the following steps:

  • Has passed the related subjects found in the curriculum of the course applied from the previous school with no grade below 80%
  • Has passed the entrance examination given by the Student Services.
  • Has been interviewed by the Admissions Officer.

Shiftee

A student who desires to shift to another course must have passed all the subjects taken in the previous course except when shifting from a degree course to a non-degree course.

Returnee

A previously enrolled student who did not attend the college for at least one semester and did not enroll in another school may be readmitted to the same program or to a different program upond approval of the respective Deans after the student submits the following requirements to the Registrar's Office:

  • A letter of request for reinstatement duly approved by the Dean.
  • A copy of his Form 9
  • Favorable results of the Physical Examination which includes a Chest X-ray, Complete Blood Count (CBC), and Hepatitis B Screening (HBS)

Foreign Student

A student who is not a Filipino citizen may be admitted to Riverside College after complying with the immigration requirements of the Republic of the Philippines.

The following documentary requirements should be submitted to the Registrar's Office:

  • Study Permit from CHED
  • Copy of the Alien Certification of Registration (ACR)
  • Copy of Passport with Visa
  • Copy of scholastic papers and credentials

Requirements for Admissions (entrance exams)

  • 2 pcs 1 x 1 picture
  • High school ID
  • Testing Fee
  • Application for Admission Form
  • Initial Interview with Admissions Officer

Requirements for Enrollment

  • Admission Slip
  • Original NSO Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Form 137-A or 138-A (transcript of record/high school report card)
  • Physical Examination Report
