The Library

Riverside College Library is equipped with the modern facilities and information resources that a contemporary academic institution has to provide.  We have a strong and active collection of more than 17, 000 books, bound journals and more than 6, 000 volumes of audiovisual materials.

Riverside College Library also offers general and interdisciplinary reading, a dynamic reference collection and a handful of current professional journals for medical and allied professions.

 

Objectives:

As the heart of the College, the Library has the following objectives:

  • Procure and maintain a wide variety of information sources that will address all the learning requirements of Riverside Community
  • Become a world-class source of information for the Riverside Community by providing updated and relevant references
  • Implement instructional programs in all areas of the College for the purpose of enhancing effective use of library learning resources, media and technology for students and faculty members
  • Empower all students to become skillful consumers of information resources and producers of information and ideas in order to prepare them to be globally competitive and efficient healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other members of the academic community in the selection of references that are considered necessary for each curricular program offered by the College.
  • Provide an atmosphere conducive to learning and research
  • Offer guidance to students in their reading interests and research needs
  • Participate in the college community extension programs through book donations, library training workshops to adopted local communities.
  • Link with other academic institutions through network sharing.

  • Regular semester

        Mondays - Fridays 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.

        Saturdays 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

  • Summer Periods

        Mondays - Fridays 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.

        Saturdays 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
