Bachelor of Science In Nursing
Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program consisting of general education and professional courses. Professional courses begin in the first year and threads through the development of competencies up to the fourth year level.
The BSN program provides an intensive nursing practicum that will refine clinical skills from the first year level to ensure basic clinical competencies required of a beginning nurse practitioner.
Program Objectives
The BSN program aims to produce a fully functioning nurse who is able to perform competencies under the following key areas of responsibility:

Specific Objectives
Upon the completion of the course Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the graduates are able to:
- render health care services to clients, family and community in any setting;
- utilize scientific knowledge as basis for quality nursing services;
- assume the role of nurse-manager in any health care setting;
- show concern and involvement in the country’s socio-political and economic issues affecting health;
- function as a productive member of the community;
- assist colleagues toward personal and professional holistic development;
- conduct research activities to improve services in various fields of nursing;
- exhibit appropriate behavior as professional nurses;
- display desirable attitude as a contributing member of society as a member of the health care team; and
- establish linkages with international agencies and institutions.
