Certificate in Midwifery

Program Description

A two-year program leading to the title, Graduate in Midwifery (G.M.). Emphasis of the course is delivery of normal pregnancies and care of mother and child. Midwifery course includes assisting health professionals in public and private practices.

Program Objectives

At the end of the 2-year course, the graduates are expected to:

  • provide health care services to the people, particularly living in far-flung communities;
  • address the basic health service needs of birth giving mother and their infants; and
  • have up-to-date knowledge and skills and the right attitude necessary to render Midwifery services with competency and dedication.
