| Course Description |
The Riverside College’s Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology is a four year course that molds students to be technically skillful in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with the use of ionizing radiation and other imaging modalities. The program includes 3 years of academic studies and 1 year of intensive training. It is designed to prepare students for employment as radiographers, nuclear medicine technologists in hospitals, medical offices, cancer centers, and industrial facilities where radiation is used for quality control. |

It is not always easy for a doctor to know what is totally wrong with the patient especially when the problem is inside the body – this is where the essence of Radiologic Technology comes in. Radiographers are considered as the eye of medicine because through imaging sciences we can see the internal anatomy of the patients for diagnosis. Students here in Riverside College are honed to be a Christocentric and competent individuals through quality education given by qualified professors. Radiologic Technology students are trained in the Department of Imaging Sciences of the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, the base hospital of Riverside College and other affiliated clinics and hospitals. DPOTMH is equipped with the state of the art diagnostic equipment such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography Scan (CT- Scan), X-ray and Ultrasound machines that are very essential in the enhancement of every student enrolled in this course.
