Course Description

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year course that deals with the autonomous and collaborative care of people of all ages, families, groups and communities. Nursing includes promoting health, preventing illness and caring for disabled and dying people. Specifically, after finishing this course, you will be able to skillfully perform basic and advanced nursing procedures independently, understand the etiology, causes, pathophysiology, nursing and medical regimens of various diseases to anticipate the needs of the clients, etc.  Nurses also care about advocacy, promotion of a safe environment, shaping health policy, research, and education, as well as patient and health systems management. The modern nurse is not just the physician’s assistant, but can also function independently in a wide range of caring activities.

Why take the course?

Healthcare technology is constantly upgrading, and our population is constantly growing and aging- two factors that have made the nursing profession one of the largest career options in the Philippines and abroad. “In the top 10 jobs the US can’t live without, the number 1 spot goes to the registered nurse.”*Nurses are in-demand all over the world, because they are needed to care for the increasing population, victims of war and calamities, young and old, men and women, rendering service to all ages of the population from womb to tomb.

After 4 years you will be able to apply for a job as a staff nurse in a hospital or choose from a wide variety of alternatives, such as nurse practitioner, nurse educator, and more. Being a nurse offers you the opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives.
